This is a patented technology where the different materials are loaded in the system and the printer fuses them at a molecular level using a matrix.  All of the materials are acrylic-based, which allows the materials to fuse together, regardless of their rigid or elastomer to create multiple shore strengths.

The part is printed at approximately 0.001” per layer.  Each time the print head travels, the print head will lay down material at 0.001” layers (28 microns). There is also a high-quality mode which does 0.0006” (16 microns).

Yes, they can be functional in some end-use and production applications. However, PolyJet parts are made with photocured resin which become unstable with extended exposure to UV light. Production applications with higher requirements are better suited to thermoplastic technologies such as FDM and SLS.

Supported walls and bosses need a minimum thickness of 0.030" (0.75 mm) while unsupported walls and bosses need a minimum thickness of 0.040" (1 mm). Minimum ebossed or engraved details need a minimum height and width of 0.010" (.25 mm).
